The Association “Blue Cherry Academy For Youth and Adults” is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Limassol, Cyprus. The Association was established in 2017. The Association is led by a Board of Directors that is elected by the General Assembly.
The aim of the Association is to offer opportunities of personal and social development for children, youth and adults, in the areas of emotional skills (e.g. self-awareness, self-control, self-esteem), interpersonal relationships (e.g. communication skills, respect for diversity, empathy, acceptance, collaboration) and learning skills (e.g. learning to learn, reasoning, brain functioning), promoting employability (preparing a profetional CV,social skills etc), environmental projects (zero waste, circular economy ets), human rights (human rights, children rights, gender equality, etc), sports and healthy life, youth entrepreneurship, design thinking, critical thinking and open to new trends of life, in order to facilitate a better quality of life for all.
Due to the variety of the topics we deal, we apply to any age and profile of people according to the topic.

Our main target activities include:
a) seminars, lectures and experiential workshops to children, youth and adults for the development of Life Skills. Following the new trends in education and also the circumstances of life, like the Covid-19 pandemic, we have put into our education tools, online education (zoom meetings etc), digital education systems (digital storytelling, YouTube, tik tok, TED Talks, podcast etc), and also outdoor educational activities, to enable each and everyone to have the opportunity to get educated in the proper time for them.
b) training of local and European educators, teachers and trainers who are interested in using active learning methods of developing Life Skills,
c) cooperation with schools, local and regional organizations, groups and associations in Cyprus,
d) cooperation with international educational groups and institutes,
e) participation in international conferences and seminars.
f)activities to promote youth entrepreneurship, active participation in society, to fight youth unemployment, xenophobia and give opportunities to youth from more disadvantage areas
These activities include the offering of European In-Service Training Courses for adult education staff and teachers (Erasmus+, ex Grundtvig and Comenius), and also Youth Training Courses under KA1 and KA2.
Our activities are directly related to education, development of social, emotional and civic competences, intercultural learning, inclusion, human rights, employability and entrepreneurship, dialogue and peace education.
We organize experiential workshops on the topics of interpersonal communication, cooperation and trust, tolerance, understanding self and others and conflict resolution.
Our members include persons that work in a variety of fields (education, psychology, economics, sociology, etc).

Our main activities include:

f) participation in international conferences and seminars.
Some of our main project topics are: Communication Skills, Healthy Relationships, Healthy Family Relationships, Parenting Seminars, Developing Children’s and Adolescents’ Self- Esteem, Handling School Failure, Self-Awareness for Children and Youth, Self awareness for Adults, Setting and Achieving Our Goals, Tolerance and Mutual Understanding, European Identity, Social Cohesion, Group Dynamics, Working with Diversity, Nutrition and Emotions, Anti-Trafficking Projects, Emotional Intelligence, youth entrepreneurship, handling xenophobia and racism, no hate speech, developing of environmental culture, circular economy, active citizenship etc .
We have also organise and participated in projects for Developing the Young Enviromental Saviors of tomorrow, circular economy and various sports projects like women in sports to promote not only sports but also the gender equality and healthy life style.
